Bartlit Beck Founder Don Scott, 1948-2015

With great sadness, Bartlit Beck confirms that Don Scott, one of the firm’s founding partners, passed away in a private plane crash in Wyoming on Saturday that took the life of all on board. Don was an exceptional friend, mentor, and trial lawyer. All of us at Bartlit Beck are better people and lawyers because of him. Don is survived by two sons, Teddy, of Los Angeles, CA, and David, of Denver, CO, and his former wife Ellen Scott, of Denver, CO. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and all of those close to those on board. Details of a celebration of life will be announced by the family in the near future.
