Bartlit Beck Wins $847M Verdict

A Bartlit Beck team led by Glen Summers recently obtained an $847M jury verdict for their client, General Access Solutions, in a patent infringement case involving fundamental technology used in 5G cellular networks and mobile hotspots. After a five-day trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the jury returned a verdict, finding that Verizon Wireless infringed the two asserted General Access patents and awarding General Access it’s full damages claim. John Hughes, Nosson Knobloch, Luke Beasley, Giovanni Sanchez and Taylor Kelson rounded out the trial team.
